On behalf of Ashlin Gymnastics Club I am pleased to welcome your child as a member of the club!
The aim of the club is to provide a safe, fun, and friendly fitness environment in which the members can participate in Kindergym and Recreational Gymnastics activities under the guidance of qualified coaches.
We utilize our own clock system to call classes onto the gymnastics floor. If your child is comfortable coming into the facility alone, we would appreciate you dropping them off as we have limited space in the lobby. A coach will call your child’s class when the class is ready to start.
Athletes must be in bare feet with fitted athletic clothing (no snaps, buttons, or zippers) or a gymnastics leotard. For safety reasons it is extremely important that long hair is secured off the face and tied back. A water bottle is required for gymnastics - if your child does not bring a water bottle, they will not be allowed to participate.
Drop off for gymnastics must be no earlier than 15 minutes before class time.
Every minute over 5 minutes late for pick-up will incur a $1.00 per minute charge that must be paid upon pick-up.
We welcome spectators to watch from our newly renovated upstairs viewing area! We also now have a beautiful new dance studio upstairs which is strictly off limits to anyone not registered in a dance class. Due to safety and insurance reasons, any child playing upstairs will be asked to leave with their family immediately.
Our KinderGym and Recreational Badge Classes are now continuous! No more forgetting to register, no more lump sum payments, no more trying to figure out what level to register in next! New this year - twice a week Badge classes and the option to withdraw during any month!
It’s the future of gymnastics classes! To get proper training, it is beneficial to train longer than 2 months at a time.
We care about your finances. Small monthly payments are easier to budget for over a 10 month period.
We care about your schedules. We hope this helps to alleviate cancelled classes and having to move to a different day of the week part way through the year.
We want to celebrate your child’s achievements and that is much easier to do with consistency in classes and coaching!
Register for classes, and we’ll take it from there! Payment will be processed at registration, and then on the 1st of each month.
Although classes start in September, your child can join at anytime, providing there is room in the class. Please join the waitlist for a class if it is full. Once we have three athletes on a waitlist, we can create a new class!
Registration is immediate if you are registering for classes that are already running. If you register for a Tuesday class, your child starts the next Tuesday! Want to withdraw? No problem! You can now withdraw from our 10 month classes by emailing us! Your child can continue attending classes until the end of the month that you have withdrawn in. You will not be charged for the month following the one you withdraw in. Please note that you must give us 14 days notice prior to month-end so that you are not charged for the following month.
Recreational Badges will now be tested continuously! Your athlete might earn their Burgundy badge within the first 6 classes and then they can move on to the next badge! Report cards will be given out as an athlete earns a badge. For the higher levels that take longer to master, progress report cards will be given out before Christmas, at the end of March, and at the end of June. Athletes need to attend 10 classes to receive a report card. Kindergym Progress Cards will be given out at the end of January and the end of June for 10 month classes only.
If your child progresses past the level of the class they are enrolled in, we will let you know. Athlete's skills are tracked by their coach.
Classes run for 10 months from September 11th to June 24th. Our class calendar lists all dates with no classes.
Ashlin Gymnastics Club reserves the right to cancel 1 class through September-January and 1 class through February-June without providing a make-up class. Any classes cancelled after that will offer a make-up class.
Individual make-up classes are not available in the event that your child misses a scheduled class in order to maintain coach to student ratios.
All athletes must pay the annual Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Insurance fee. It costs $49.00 this year, and is valid until June 30, 2024.
- 3 bond cheques of $200 each must be post dated for November 30th, February 28th and June 30th. These cheques are required before your athlete is allowed on the floor. Please drop them off during designated office hours.
- Each volunteer credit is approximately 2.5 hours in length.
- Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Children under the age of 18 cannot be in the facility during cleanings.
- If you are signing up for cleaning commitments, you must sign up for only one cleaning per term (September-November, December-February, March-June) and sign up for three cleanings (3 credits) total.
- If you withdraw your child before the end of the season, you have until the end of the commitment period (see below) to finish your credits.
- September 1st - November 30th: One credit must be completed
- December 1st - February 28th: Two credits must be completed
- March 1st - June 30th: Three credits must be completed
If your required credit is not finished by the end of the commitment period, your bond cheque will be cashed. You are responsible for finding a substitute for your volunteer commitment if you cannot attend. Failure to find a substitute will be considered a missed commitment. If you miss your commitment, your bond cheque will be cashed.
- Volunteer commitments can be bought out at $200.00 per credit (3 total credits required) upon registration.
- Volunteer commitments are PER family not per gymnast.
- 3 bond cheques of $150.00 each must be post dated for December 31st, February 28th, and May 31st. These cheques are required before your athlete is allowed on the floor. Please drop them off during designated office hours.
- Fundraising is required to be completed before the deadline of the fundraiser. If your fundraiser is partially fulfilled you must pay for the remainder when you hand in your fundraising otherwise your bond cheque will be cashed. Bond cheques for unfulfilled fundraisers will be cashed immediately following the deadline of the fundraiser.
- Families cannot choose to not participate in one fundraiser and instead raise double the amount in the next fundraiser. Each family must participate in each fundraiser.

Experience Raffle (February): Fundraising amount is 10 tickets. Buy out is $100.00 and must be done at time of registration.
